NPL JOANITHA GOWASES OFF TO GERMANY ON ON JOB TRAINING

Ms Joanitha Gowases, NPL Front Desk and Registration Officer is off on 14 Day on job training in Westfalia, Germany, from the 18 – 30 July 2010.

The trip which was facilitated by Mr Klaus Staerk, Namibia Football Association Technical Director, and was organized following consultation between himself and Mr Mathew Haikali, NPL Chief Executive Officer, on the possibility for capacity building for the NPL. This was one of the areas that the NPL need to build, to be able to service, its members and  all stakeholders of the league. These is in line with the NPL’s need to build the capacity and skills of the staff.

 The On the Job training in Westfalia, follows on the heels of the another training that was offered by AIMS to the NPL staff, earlier this year, The Namibia Premier League has once again proved that for the league to be run on professional basis, the necessary skills and capacity needs to be developed. And this opportunity has presented itself for the NPL office to build its capacity by sending the first in line of staff training to Westfalia in Germany.

 

The NPL office together with various partners will sponsor the airticket for Ms Gowases while the Westfalia, has offered to sponsor accommodation, meals and local transport.

 

“As part of her assignment Ms Gowases, will engage the various structures in Westfalia on the proffesionalisation of the league, with specific emphasis on player registration, monitoring and evaluation, youth development, financial, league administration as well as visiting the offices of the DFB and the Budesliga to see how things are done” emphasized NPL CEO.

 

“It is also anticipated that she will visit one or two clubs to see how they have structured themselves and what mechanism are in place for them to ensure monitoring and sustainability of the clubs by the league.  Her visit there will provide the league with experience that will be very important for the NPL as the league put mechanism for the new season”. concludes Mathew Haikali, NPL CEO

 

Ms Gowases returns to Windhoek on the 30 July 2010.
