Arrows Down Stars, Tigers up to Third
Saturday, 06 February 2010
George Hummel headed Eleven Arrows to a win over African Stars as Tigers moves into third place with a 2-0 win over United Stars.

Arrows hosted the high flying Bobby Samaria coached team at the Kuisebmund stadium in Walvis Bay   and if current statistics are any to go by, Stars were favourites to win the encounter.

But it was the veteran defender Hummel who rose majestically to meet a corner in the second half to give his former Brave Warriors teammate Congo Hindjou his second win in three matches at the helm of Arrows.

The result sees Arrows move up to seventh on the table with 16 points as Civics failed to keep momentum with a 3-2 tumbling at Oshakati City on Saturday.

Tangeni Shipahu and Nelson Akwenye scored in the second half for Tigers against United Stars to move into third place on 27 points, four off table-toppers Stars.Sport Klub Windhoek beat visiting Blue Waters 2-0 and are now equal on 24 points with Waters albeit SKW in sixth place and Waters in fifth

.There was also an important goalless draw for Hotspurs ion Friday night against Black Africa, as the round-15 outcome surely now throw the league title chase wide-open as  we head into the final  seven matches of the 2009/2010 MTC Premiership.
