The MTC Premiership season is becoming more scintillating as City holds Pirates and Arrows and Hotspurs won on week-14 of action.
In the Saturday earlier afternoon kick-off at the Windhoek’s Khomasdal Stadium, Willem Kapukare coaches Spurs got their second win of the season with a convincing 3-1 win over match favourites Blue Waters. The victory gives Spurs eight points all season and remains rock-bottom, but they will be noticed next time out surely. At the Kuisemund Stadium, Congo Hindjou managed to outsmart his coaching pals, Woody Jacobs and Denzel Bruwer as Eleven Arrows recorded their most empathic victory this season with a three-nil win over Civics, to take Arrows points to 13 in 10th place on the table with Civics in seventh place on 15 points. Black Africa were made to sweat for their two-all draw with visitors United Stars, after they scored a late penalty to share the points with the Rundu-based club at the SKW Stadium. Orlando Pirates failed to close in on African Stars as they played to dull goalless draw against Oshakati City at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura. Pirates remain second with 28 points with Stars in first place with 31 after their impressive 2-0 win over Tigers on Friday night. |
